BEFORE YOU BEGIN:

  • To register for the conference, you will need a username.  If you already have a username, login before you began the registration process.  Be sure to register for the conference using the same username.
  • If you have forgotten your username and/or password, click here to retrieve it. Do Not create a New username if you already created one in the past.  You will receive an email with your username and a temporary password that is only valid for 24 hours. Please check your email and then log into your account and select a new permanent password.
  • To create a new username if this is your first time using CESA’s site or participating in a CESA event click here.
  • Do not use your username to register another conference participant. Register only for your conference participation.  If you would like to register on behalf of another participant, please contact us and we will process this for you and send you a separate invoice.
  • You may register for the conference either as a Member or as a Non-member in the appropriate income category.  Registration fees are Non-Refundable and Non-Transferable.
  • If you are a resident of Toronto, register as  Host Community Resident, using the appropriate income category.

 

DEADLINES TO REMEMBER:

  • Early registration deadline is EXTENDED TO Thursday February 19, 2015, 11:59pm HST.
  • Registration deadline for conference presenters is Friday, Februray 27, 2015, 11:59pm HST.   Once a proposal has been approved, all presenters are required to register for the conference. Presenters who do not register by February 27, 2015 will not be able to present. 
  • Regular registration begin Friday February 20 2015.
  • Online registration will close on Monday, April 27, 2015 at 11:59pm HST.
  • Registration will resume On-Site, Thursday, April 30, 2015  at York University. Conference registration and information booths will be located in the atrium on the first floor of the Technology Enhanced Learning Building. Volunteers will be located throughout the campus to help guide conference attendees to the  conference registration site and to the conference rooms. Registration packages will include a map of the York campus and walking directions to all conference buildings and rooms. Credit/Debt Cards, Cash, and Checks will be accepted.  Regular registration rates will apply.

 

HELP WITH REGISTRATION

Before you proceed, make sure you are not using a mobile device or a public computer with a shared network. Please use a secure computer with a secure internet connection. We recommend using the latest Firefox browser. Chrome, Safari, or Opera can also be used. Make sure you see the "s" in "https://" part of the URL. This means you are browsing with a secure connection. You can choose to pay by credit card or PayPal. Payment transactions are handled through PayPal. All transactions are final and fees cannot be refunded or transferred.

  • I can't remember my CESA username or password. What should I do?  Do Not Create A New Username if you already created one in the past.  If you have forgotten your username or password, click here to retrieve it.   • Do I need to be a member of CESA to register?  No. You do not need to be a member of CESA to participate in the conference.  Register as a Non-Member using the appropriate income category.
  • Can I join CESA today and take advantage of the conference registration rates for membership at the same time?  Yes. To join and register together you have to add the appropriate registration and membership rates to your cart. Both registration and membership rates are based on a graduate income scale. Please select the appropriate income categories for registration and membership.
  • How do I become a member of the Critical Ethnic Studies Association?  Membership in CESA is open to activists, students, cultural workers, scholars, educators, media makers, artists, organizers, movers, shakers, community-based organizations, academic institutions, non-profits, and anyone else who supports the movement behind critical ethnic studies.  Membership is for one calendar year and starts at $25. Rates are based on a graduate scale according to income.
